A Song for Trayvon

There is a lot happening on the Internet regarding Trayvon Martin. If you all find any other interesting sites, blogs, songs, videos, or other media, please share.

I am really interested in how social media can be a force for positive change. What are the possibilities and limits of this venue for raising awareness and empowering ourselves and others?

§ One Response to A Song for Trayvon

As much as it breaks a rule–think Fight Club–to say this, my Tumblr has been blowing up with a lot of outcry for justice for Treyvon. A lot of people are relating this to the Kony situation, asking for people to show concern for the Black American youth.

Blogging sites are able to hit such a large range of people. It’s effective in getting the messages across, even if there is also more chance for notice from less than ideal reactions from people.
