Homework Readings

Professor David,

Do you expect us to take detailed notes on the week’s readings or just be able to discuss the main arguments and points throughout the writings?

§ One Response to Homework Readings

  • I’d say a bit of both. I am far more interested in you learning and understanding the main arguments of each essay, but I think you should take detailed notes about what that argument is and how the author makes her points. An argument or idea is usually supported with other ideas and facts. You should be able to understand how these aspects are related, and if you don’t understand, you can come up with appropriate questions to help you find the answer. Also, please take note of terms and definitions that you are unfamiliar with.
